Free Weight Loss Tips
Here is some free weight loss tips that I have learned through out the years. Of course there is more to losing weight than just these tips, but they are darn helpful and can really make a difference in your weight loss goals.

Tip #1 – Use more calories than you need to sustain your current weight.
Sounds simple right? Many people get this wrong right from the start. The first step in losing weight is to find your Basal Metabolic Rate(BMR) which is the rate at which you burn calories if you were in bed all day. Once you find this out, then you simply subtract say 400 calories from that amount and then divide it by how many meals you eat per day.
Tip#2 – Know the caloric value for the foods a drinks that you consume.
This is the real killer in many peoples diets. Read the labels of the foods AND drinks that you consume. One problem that I see people make is drinking alcohol and coffee and not realizing that those drinks are the ones that are adding the weight. Do a search online for beer, mixed drinks, coffee drinks, etc. Search: Fosters beer calories or something along those lines.
Tip#3 – Have a plan.
Don’t just wing it. Set up goals and follow through with them. People have a hard time with this because they are just plain lazy. If your to lazy to write down an action plan then how do you expect to lose weight which is much more difficult? Here is a basic plan:
Goal: Lose 20 lbs. in 3 months.
20lbs. divided by 12 weeks is 1.66 pounds a week. (Not to hard to do)
Now take each week and set up what you will do each week to lose 1.66 pounds. Perhaps you will jog in the mornings 4 days a week or walk after work, etc. Change up the routine each month so you don’t get bored and determine what kind of diet you will follow in those 3 months.
Tip#4 – Stay consistent!
A good trick I learned a while back was to just tell yourself: “Im just going to eat clean today” That way you can focus on the day and not the entire goal of 3, 6, 9 months of dieting. Its a mental game that you play with yourself. It works!
Tip#5 – Drink plenty of water.
You hear this all the time, but why drink lots of water? Won’t I get bloated up? Not really, actually water is the mail catalyst to losing fat! It happens through hydrolysis. It get pretty scientific but basically, hydrolysis is responsible for breaking down fat molecules and producing ATP or energy. That’s why its always good to drink water when you have low energy. Don’t over-do it with the water drinking. 2-3 liters is plenty.
Using these tips will get you off to a good start, but they are by no means the solution to all you weight loss goals. Its sometimes best to get help from from professionals.
